Privacy Policy
Applies to the QuoteBack Chrome extension and getquoteback.com.
What we collect
- Account and profile data — your name, email address, company name, and trade.
- Estimate and customer details you enter — customer name and contact info, job description, quote amount, dates, and notes you add or import via CSV.
- Follow-up history — the follow-up messages generated for you and the status changes you record.
- Usage and plan data — feature usage counts (such as AI follow-ups used this month), plan tier, and basic diagnostic logs.
AI generation
Data is sent to an AI provider only when you request an AI draft. In that case, the relevant estimate context (such as customer first name, job description, amount, and date sent) is sent to generate the message. If you use template mode, no data is sent for AI generation. Production AI generation runs server-side; no AI provider key is shipped in the extension.
Gmail
QuoteBack does not automatically read your Gmail inbox contents. Estimate entry and import are manual. Gmail is used only to open a prefilled draft that you review and send yourself. QuoteBack does not send email on your behalf.
Payments
Paid plans are not live yet. When they launch, payment information will be handled by Stripe. QuoteBack will not store your full card details.
How we use and share data
We use your data to operate the product: syncing your estimates, flagging follow-ups, generating drafts you request, enforcing plan limits, and providing support. QuoteBack does not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to run the product (hosting, database, AI generation, and — once billing launches — Stripe), and where required by law.
Retention and your choices
Your estimates and follow-up history are kept while your account is active. You can export your data to CSV at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data. Deletion requests are handled manually through the support form.
Changes
QuoteBack is in active development. If this policy changes materially — for example, if a future release adds optional Gmail reading — we will update this page and notify users before the change takes effect.
Contact
Privacy questions can be sent through the support form. A published support email address will be added before the public launch.
